Trends in Research on Visual Perceptual Intervention Approaches in Korea

Abstract

|
Objective : The Purpose of this study is to find out trends in research on visual perceptual intervention approaches and to provide available basic data for therapists.
Methods : Studies were selected through a search of computerized database of the literature(KERIS, since 2001) using ¡®improvement of visual perception¡¯ and then ¡®visual perceptual intervention¡¯, ¡®visual perceptual training¡¯, ¡®visual perceptual program¡¯ as key words.
Results : Based on titles and abstracts, the first author selected 10 studies. 10 studies were included, level II 80.0%, level III 20.0%. The use of virtual reality game program for improvement of visual perception was the biggest part of these studies.
Conclusion : To activate the visual perceptual intervention of people who need help in Korea, personalized intervention approaches should be developed to reflect the characteristics of each one of them.
